About the work:
This canvas is in line with the botanical and narrative works of roger.M. Here, the artist orchestrates a true floral symphony on a highly textured background. The composition relies on a poetic tension between the expressive geometry of the floral forms in the foreground and the gestural freedom of the background. What gives this piece its singular strength is the subtle presence of prints and literary typography integrated through collage beneath the paint. The fragments of newspapers and books symbolize memory, childhood words, and the underlying poetry that nourishes the artist's world. "Le jardin d'à côté" (The garden next door) is a recent work by roger.M. It perfectly synthesizes his artistic signature: the subtle marriage between the poetry of words and the generosity of the material. It is a dynamic, resolutely sunny canvas that captures childlike wonder with matured technical mastery and an assertive sense of contemporary composition. A favorite piece, ideal for bringing presence, poetry, and light to a collection.
